Author's Note: okay, if you haven't been
reading, this is what is going on; Trixie starts getting married, but then decides not to
and runs out of the chapel, and is stopped by Dick, he appears in the Trixie Belden
published series #3 I think. He shoots her and gets caught by the police, never to be
heard of again. Trixie is in the hospital blah-blah-blah- and 10 days later
she is out but I don't write about what happens in those days because I couldn't think of
anything. Trixie is home now and everything is cool between her and Dan. She talks to her
Mom blah-blah-blah, you don't care. And I ended the last chapter with her on the porch
with Jim. You are up to date now! And don't worry, I will return the characters back onto
my old dusty book shelf in know time, unharmed! Now on with the show!
*The One for Me*
Part 4 (The unexpected should be expected)
On the porch:
"I'm sorry," Trixie said out of nowhere, not noticing they had been staring at each other for 5 minutes.
"I should be sorry, Trix. I should have gone after you when we had that fight. I was stupid, and always afraid of losing and I almost did," Jim said sympathetically.
"No, I should be sorry. I totally blew up in your face and you were only concerned! I know I can jump into some really stupid situations, but--"
"Trixie, can we just forget it and say we're both sorry, before this ends up in another fight?" Jim asked with a little laugh.
"Yeah, that's a very good idea," Trixie said, laughing a little too."I'm sorry,"they both said at the same time.
"So, did you talk to Dan yet?" Jim asked. "I saw you with your Mom, but I wasn't sure?"
"Uh, yeah I did, he took it, well, he it took it very, very, uh, well, I guess. I am not sure, but I think he likes Hallie, so I am guessing everything will be fine between us," Trixie answered.
"What about us? Are we okay too?"
Inside:
"Move your head!"
"No! You move your butt!" Di and Honey argued.
"I want to see what's going on! Come on, Honey, PLEASE!" begged Diana Lynch.
"NO! YOU MOVE!!!" shouted Honey.
"What's going on here?" asked Helen Belden.
Both girls turned around quickly and said innocently, "Nothing" at the same time.
Helen looked out the window to the porch. "Oh, you two!" Helen said laughing, and walked away.
Right as her back was turned, the girls went right back to arguing and pushing. "Oh, and, girls," again they turned around quickly and smiled, "just don't let them know that you're there, okay?"
They both nodded and continued looking out the narrow, yet door length, window overseeing the cement porch.
Back out on the Porch with Jim and Trixie:
"So, how have you been lately, Jim?" asked Trixie.
"Trixie, don't try to change the subject," Jim said.
"Well, you know Jim, I haven't been the best lately," Trixie said, now really trying to change the subject.
"Trixie!" Jim said impatiently.
"I just got out of the hospital and all, oh right DUH, you were there 24/7 and-"
"TRIXIE!, LISTEN TO ME!" Jim's patience was gone and his temper was flaring. His face was scarlet, and Trixie stepped back one with a frightened look on her face. "I'm sorry Trixie, am so sorry, I shouldn't have gotten mad and-"
"No, Jim, I don't think it will work out between us!" Trixie shouted and started running toward the woods.
