Nothing is mine.  These characters are being borrowed from RH.  They are used without permission.  I went to most of the world Juniour games, so I had to write a fanfic about it.  Oh and one of the incedints that happned to Trixie happened to me too.

World Juniors

by Funshine

“Oh Honey, isn’t this perfectly perfect?”  Trixie Belden, sixteen, exclaimed.

Honey Wheeler, whose real name was Madeleine, nodded.

Honey and Trixie, along with Jim Frayne, Honey’s adopted brother, and Trixie’s two older brothers had started their club, the Bob-Whites of The Glen, or BWG’s for short.  Later, Diana Lynch and Dan Mangan joined the club.

Before the club had started, about three summers ago, Trixie had been bored, because Brian and Mart were at camp.  Trixie saw Honey’s horses going into the stable, and went up to meet her.  Honey, who really was a poor little rich girl until she met Trixie, offered to teach Trixie how to ride horses.  So the two girls went off to explore old Mr. Frayne’s house.  Mr. Frayne was in the hospital, and Trixie wanted to get in to ‘lock’ the doors.  They had met Jim there.  Jim, who had red hair and a quick temper, had run away from his evil step father Jonesy.  Jim had run away to his great uncle’s house, but finding no one home, he broke in and fell asleep on an old mattress.   The three had quickly become friends.

Then Jim ran away and the two girls went out in a trailer with Honey’s governess to find him.  Once they had returned to Sleepyside, Jim was adopted by Honey’s parents.  Later that summer, Brian and Mart came home from camp, and found the three in the middle of a case.  The five solved the mystery of the diamond thieves and formed the group.  In the fall, Di, who was lonely, was asked to stay at Honey’s house.  Di, was mad at her uncle, who really wasn’t her uncle, but was an imposter.  The imposter was pretending so he could get money from her father.  Trixie solved that case, too, while being tied up in a trailer with Mart.  The seventh member, Dan, was  sent to Sleepyside to live with his Uncle Regan, who also happened to be Honey’s groom.  Regan made arrangements for Dan to live with Mr. Maypenny, the gamekeeper.

Dan was usually never allowed to go on trips because he always had a job that never followed through to the next case, or he had to chop wood.

“Gee Di, it really was nice of your parents to take us to the World Juniors.  I don’t think we’ll ever get another chance like this,”  Trixie told Di.

The World Juniors was a bunch of hockey games.  Teams from all over the world were coming to play.  Mr.  Lynch was one of the lucky people to get tickets for all the games.

“I know, it was really great of Mummy and Daddy, wasn’t it?” Diana Lynch replied, bouncing her black hair.

“I’ll say,” Mart Belden, who was only 11 months older than Trixie, bubbled.

Jim and Brian, the responsible Bob-Whites, nodded in agreement.  Dan, who had somehow managed to get in on the trip whooped in excitement as they landed in the small airport in Thief River Falls, Minnesota.  Thief River Falls was one of the places the Juniors was being held at; the other place was in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

The Bob-Whites were staying at a casino in the country, which was close to both towns.

“This is great!”  Dan exclaimed, as he exited the plane.  “Man, they sure to have cold weather here, don’t they?”  It was winter, actually Christmas day.  The group had had to leave on Christmas because no other day was available.

Trixie shrugged, and led the group into the airport.  After collecting their baggage and after Brian made a call to the hotel the gang headed out to the two rental cars Mr. Lynch had promised the group.  This would be an unchaperoned trip.  That is to say, there would be no adults.

Brian and Jim would chaperon, because they were the most trustworthy and dependable of the group.

After finally finding their way to the casino, and after much map consulting the group headed to their own rooms. The girls shared one room and the boys paired off into two rooms.

On their way, the girls ran across a couple of Finnish boys.  They could tell that they were Finnish by the sweatsuits they wore.  The boys politely smiled and continued on their way.

“Wow.  I’ve never met anyone from another country.  Well, except for Dolores and Lupe and--” Honey started

“We get it Honey.”  Di and Trixie laughed.

After finding their room and unpacking, the girls once again headed out, this time to the lobby, where they were to meet the other Bob-Whites.  Surprisingly, they were not there yet.  But, there were a whole lot of other people.

“Wow, is that a Slovakian?” Di wondered, “If so, not that it matters, he’s hot!”

“I know,” Honey replied.

“And he’s so tall!” Trixie agreed.

They continued their boy watching.  They did not even notice when the boys they were waiting for walked up.

“Uhh, guys?  Hello?  You still here?” Dan asked, waving a hand in front of Trixie.

“What?  Oh, Honey, Di, the guys are here.”

“Oh, hi," Honey said, snapping back.

“Yeah, so what do you guys want to do?  That’s away from this place, I mean,” Jim said  pointedly.

“Um, we could go explore the town.  It’s only about 20 minutes from here,” Di said.

“Oh, yeah, that’d be fun.”  The girls were enthusiastic.

“Why aren’t we just going to go to the game?” Dan wanted to know.

“Because the first game already would have started.  We can just go to the one tonight,” Brian answered.  “I guess we could go.”

“Alrighty then.  Let’s head out.”

“I call shotgun!”  Trixie exclaimed.

“I call driving the sedan,” Jim volunteered.

“I call riding with Jim and whoever else in the sedan,” Trixie decided.

“I’ll ride with you guys,” Dan offered.

“Guess, the rest of us can ride in the other car,” Mart said.

The other three nodded.

The group embarked on their journey. Twenty-five minutes later, they were passing buildings.

“Hmm, Galaxy Twin.  What a weird name to call your movie theater,” Trixie mused out loud.

Jim shrugged.  “Look, Pizza Hut.”

Dan rolled his eyes in the back of the car.  Those two had been pointing out things all they way to town. It was Christmas day, so none of the buildings were likely open.

“Why doesn’t this town have a Wal-Mart?” Trixie demanded  as they drove by.

Brian, who had his phone on speaker, answered her with a groan. “Not Wal-Mart again, Trixie!  I’m sorry, but not every town needs to have a Wal-Mart,” Brian told her.

“Uhh,  come on, guys, no more talk about Wal-Marts, puh-lease!” Dan whined in the background.

“Look, Trixe, they are building one,” Honey said, referring to a Wal-Mart.

“I’m tired of hearing about Wal-mart,” Brian groaned. “That’s all I ever hear about when I come home.”

The people in Brian’s car shrugged sympathetically and started pointing out different sites.

“Look at that gazebo!”  Honey cried from her spot next to Brian. “Isn’t it pretty?”

Brian nodded.

Around six they headed back to the casino to get ready to go to the game.

The game was Finland versus Germany and the group grabbed a spot right behind the box.

“Come on, Finland!”  Mart rooted.

“Come on, Germany!”  Trixie contradicted.

It was a great game; Finland won.  Actually, Finland wiped the floor with Germany.  It was four to zero.  After the game, the group was leaving when they noticed a bunch of people standing up by the concession stand.

“I wonder what’s going on,” Dan said.

“I think they’re cleaning,” Honey said.

“Oh, come on!  First you trick me into coming and then you pair up with someone else.  I’m really feeling the love!” a girl called.

“Sorry that I just happen to be the favorite sister,” another girl called back.

“Funny,” replied the first girl.

“Oh be quiet, I didn’t trick you, Jen,” said yet another girl who looked a lot like the other two.

“Well, I was just saying,” the girl called Jen said.

“Well, let’s go then, Rebecca,” the oldest of the girls said.

The girl named Rebecca nodded.

“Hey Lucy!” Jen called.  Lucy turned and Jen said, “I’m going to win.”

Lucy and Rebecca set off to clean.

Jen set out picking up the garbage.

“This is so gross,”  she moaned out loud.

The Bob-Whites who had been watching the conversation shrugged and continued.

“Who are the Prowlers?” asked Mart.  He noticed the Prowler legend all over and was curious.

“Our high school team, ” Jen said.  “Oops sorry, didn’t mean to intrude.”

“No problem,” Jim assured her.  “We’re not from around here, and so we were just wondering.”

“Cool. Can I help you with anything?  You look lost.”

“We’re just looking. Is this really the arena for your high school?” Honey asked.

“Yeah, apparently, it’s the best in the country.  I prefer the Huck though.”

“Huck?”

“It’s one of the old arenas. The Ralph Englestad, this one, is the newest.  Then there is the Huck Olson, right next door.  And lastly is the old arena; it’s in the middle of town.”

“Oh,” Mart said.

“Yep.”

The girl excused herself to finish cleaning the row, then she continued on to the next one.

The Bob-Whites saw no reason to continue standing around and left the arena.

“Wow, that’s cool that they have such a nice arena for their high school,” Mart said.

“Yeah!” agreed the others.

They headed to the casino.

The next morning the girls went down to the water park.

“This is so much fun,” Honey and Trixie had just come down one of the big red slides meant for just tubes, the others were meant for people only.

Di lazily floated around the lazy river.

After a few hours, the girls and the guys, who had joined them later, got out of the water park and went to explore the hotel.

“I have to say, after the initial coolness shock, this place is kind of dull, and you guys saw the town, it’s awfully dull too,” Dan decided.

“I have to agree,” Trixie said.

“Well, we could explore the land around here,” Honey suggested.

“And get lost in a storm?  No way!” Mart returned.

“Oh, come on, we have to do something, like get food. And we could go see a movie afterward,” Jim said.

“All right, gang, let’s head out.  There isn’t a game tonight, so why don’t we let the girls go shopping and us guys can go hang out.  Then we can all meet up and go to a movie.  Knowing the girls, they’ll want to do some shopping,”  Dan told everyone.

“Okay, we’re all for it,” the girls let Trixie be their spokesman.

“Well, I don’t know,” Brian said.

“Oh come on, Brian!  We aren’t five anymore.” Trixie stomped her foot in indignation.

“Fine,” Brian decided, “let’s go.”

“Yes!”

“But you girls have to be careful, don’t talk to strangers.  Watch the lights, use the crosswalks.  Don’t go in any place that doesn’t look right.  And for heaven's sake,  don’t, I repeat, don’t, get into any mysteries!”  Brian counted off.

“Oh goodness, Brian!” Trixie exclaimed exasperatedly.  “We won’t, we won’t.”

The boys went to the car that Brian had driven yesterday, and the girls to Jim’s.  Each car contained a cell phone that was fully charged, a map, a blanket, and flares.  They were ready to face Northwest Minnesota in the winter.

“So where do you guys want to go?” Di asked, since she was driving.

Honey said, “Well, yesterday, I saw a Vanity store.  We could go there if it’s open, though it probably won’t be because it’s Sunday.”

“Yeah, okay,” Di agreed.

Trixie shrugged and settled down for the ride.

“Yup, it’s not open, and I, for one, don’t want to walk around in the cold,”  Di decided.

“Okay, hey we could go to the Hugo’s over there. ” Trixie nodded “That’s open.”

“Uh, Trixie, I think that’s a grocery store,” Honey told her.

“So what?  I’m bored!  C’mon, please?” Trixie begged.  “We can grab some snacks.”

So, the three went inside.  They wandered around, going down the aisles until they found the snacks.  Trixie immediately wanted the Doritos.  Honey and Di agreed. They grabbed some other things for the boys.

Later that day, when the girls made it back to the casino, Trixie knocked on Jim and Brian’s door.  “Hello?”

No answer.

“Honey, Di, I think the boys are lost or something...”

“Why?”  Di asked.

“Because they told us that we had to be here by four and yet, there is no sign of them.”

“Oh c’mon, I’m sure they’re not lost.”

The cell phone rang, Honey resignedly answered it, “Hello?”

“Honey?”  Dan asked the phone.

“No, this is Nailor, the gardener.  Of course it’s me! Where are you guys?”  Honey said sarcastically.

“Ha.  Ha.  Funny, really.  We’re lost.”  There was commotion in the background and Honey distinctly heard Jim yell, “Don’t tell them that!”

“I mean, we are temporarily misplaced," Dan said.  "Where are you girls?”

“Hotel.  You guys were supposed to be here half an--” Honey laughed.

“Aww, man!” Dan exclaimed.

“Well, where is the last place you guys knew where you were going?” Honey asked after she consulted Di and Trixie.

“I dunno, Pizza Hut?”

“Why don’t you guys just pull over?  We’ll come and try to find you.”

Honey hung up the phone before Dan could protest.

“It serves them right,” Trixie giggled. “They are forever teasing us about getting lost.”

Honey and Di agreed.

After searching for about twenty minutes they found the boys, who had taken a turn too early and had basically wandered around in a circle.

“Well, now that we found you, let’s get some food,” Trixie suggested.

The boys quickly agreed.

The next day the girls decided they were going to go on an expedition, and took the boys to town.  They asked them to stay around town, so they wouldn’t get lost again.

Trixie, Honey, and Di went around to at least three different clothing stores, and a bakery.  The girls met up with the boys and headed for the game.  After the last game, a throng of people were once again standing waiting to clean.  Jen, and one of the girls she had been with the last time, was there.

“Hey,” she said to them as they walked toward her. “This is my sister Rebecca.”

“Nice to meet you,” Honey said.

Rebecca smiled and nodded to them.

“You know what I realized,” Mart said out loud, “we never introduced ourselves the other night.”

“Oh, well, I’m Jen,” Jen said.

“I’m Trixie, this is Honey, that’s Di, that is Honey’s brother Jim, that’s Dan, and these two are my brothers, Brian and Mart.”

“It’s nice to meet you,” Rebecca said.

“So why do you guys clean this place?” Dan wanted to know.

“Oh, well, we clean it for the soccer team.  They get money for cleaning the arena up,” Rebecca explained. “Not that Jen or I are on the team.  Our little sister is, though, and we get to get into the games for free so...”

“That’s great that you do that for her,” Honey said.

Jen shrugged.

“We could help," Jim offered. "We work together.”

“That’s okay,” Rebecca said.

“I’ve got a question-- you ‘work together’?” Jen asked; she was slowly edging herself away from the New Yorkers.

“Great job, Jim, you always make us sound like a gang,” Di laughed.

Jen and Rebecca looked at each other.

“We’re not a gang, we’re a group.  We call ourselves the Bob-Whites of the Glen.  BWG’s for short.  We’re more of a former gang member club.  An AA for gang members  if you will,” Jim explained.

Jen and Rebecca looked confused.

“We’re a club, not a gang,” Dan said.

“Oh, okay,” Jen said with understanding, she decided to pay attention to the latter explanation instead of the former.

“So, what are all of you doing over here in Minnesota, more specifically, Thief River Falls.  It’s not exactly a tourist stop,” Rebecca said.

“Oh, my dad loves hockey, but he couldn’t make it over, so he sent us out here to go to the games instead,” Di said.

“Whoa.  That’s really cool,” Jen exclaimed.

“Yeah,” Trixie agreed.

“Well, hey, we better go, I hope you have fun here,” Rebecca said. She pulled Jen away so they could clean.

“Well, we met some new people,” Trixie said happily.

“Yeah.  I love meeting new people,” Honey agreed.

The group enjoyed the rest of their stay.  They went back to Sleepyside with many stories, including one about Trixie embarrassing herself in front of a bunch of Sweden fans.  She had been rooting for Slovakia, and had accidentally started yelling about how the Sweden team was being too rough, and how they deserved to be thrown out of the game.  The sad thing was, while she was yelling this, some Sweden fans had come into the seats by Trixie and the rest of the Bob-Whites.  They looked at her oddly, and Trixie sat blushing as far away from them as possible.

“So, you had a good trip then, dear?” Mrs.Belden asked as she helped her daughter unpack.

“Oh yes, Moms, it was just wonderful,”  Trixie sighed in delight.  And it was.

The End

First of all, a huge thank you to:  Amber, Chelsea, and Ashley, for all the monstrous editing.  Thank you to Zap, who continues to allow me to post on her website, and fixes everything for me.  I couldn’t get along with out all of you!!!

Okay I guess the world juniors are over now.  But I was lucky enough to go to some of the games.  I do not own anything in that story except for Jen, Rebecca, and Lucy.  Hugo’s is a real grocery store.  Thief River Falls is a real town, my hometown in fact.  Pizza Hut, is of course a food place.  Wal-Mart is also another famous store.  My town currently does not have one, but is said to get one quick.  Trixie’s obsession with it, is a joke.  The Ralph Engelstad is our newest arena, The Huck is also a real arena, and so is ‘The Old Arena’  I couldn’t think of the name, and that’s what everybody calls it anyway. The Galaxy Twin is the name of our movie theater  There is a Gazebo in our town.  That experience Trixie had with the team, well that was me.  It was really embarrassing, and kinda scary.....I didn’t even mean it, I was just rooting for Slovakia.  My sister thought I was mad that I wasn’t hoping USA.  Would win, but honestly, I didn’t even care that much.  I was just talking for talking’s sake.  But that game was great b/c there was lot’s of fights......  Okay I know you’re all going, “what was the point of all that?”

And I have an answer, I was trying to introduce you all to Jen and Rebecca, and possibly other people.  So when I come out with the next installment in my Dan/Trixie relationship, you’ll all understand who they are talking about.  I know a lot of that stuff said in there wasn’t needed, I was just bored when I wrote it.  And at 1 o’clock in the morning the introduction seemed to be the funniest thing in the world.  Guess it wasn’t....Well I’m going to go now.  See y’all around.
