Today Is the Day

Crabapple Farm - Trixie’s bedroom

Trixie woke up with a start.  Her heart was pounding.  Today is the day all of the families were coming for dinner tonight.  Today she thought I will face Jim.  Today I will tell him that we need to talk.  She took a deep breath as she stood and crossed to her bedroom door.  Today is the day.

Manor House - Jim’s bedroom

Jim rolled over; he looked at his alarm clock.  Today is the day, he thought, today is the day I get to tell Trixie how sorry I am.  Today is the day I lay it on the line.  Jim took a deep breath, stood and walked to his bathroom to take a very hot shower.

Manor House - Honey’s bedroom

Honey stretched in bed and smiled.  Today is the day, she thought, that starts the countdown to our wedding.  Today is the day I get to help my best-friend help her mom cook for a get together.  Today is the day the Bob-Whites are all together for the first time in years.  Honey looked at the clock and headed to take a bath.

Lynch Mansion - Dan and Diana’s bedroom

Dan rolled over and looked at his wife.  My wife!  My wife!  The lovely Diana is my wife.  Today is the day we celebrate our marriage with our families and friends.  Today is the day, the first day I get to call her my wife at a Bob-White get together.

Diana rolled over, snuggling closer to her husband.  Today is the day I get to celebrate my marriage to Dan.  Today is the day I get to celebrate with the Bob-Whites.  Today is the day I tell Dan that my parents are letting us stay in this suite until we save enough to buy our own house.  Today is the day… she opened her eyes-- I get to say I love you first.

Crabapple Farm - Mart’s bedroom

Mart woke with a start, his stomach was growling.  Today is the day I get to give Honey her first leading-up-to-the-wedding gift.  Today is the day I get to help my sister and my fiancée cook with Moms.  Today is the day I celebrate my best-friend’s wedding with him, his wife and the families.  He stood.  Today is the day. He pulled on sweats and a t-shirt, and walked into the hall.  He turned to face Brian who walked out of his room.  Today is the day… he spoke…

Crabapple Farm - Brian’s bedroom

Brian groaned as he opened his eyes and realised where he was and why he was there.  Today is the day of the dinner.  Today is the day Addy meets Trixie.  Today is the day I try to stay calm.  He stood, pulled on a sweatshirt and opened the door.  Today is the day. He walked out into the hallway.  Today is the day… He looked at Mart …

“Today is the day Trixie faces Jim.”

 The End for now

Author’s Notes

The character Addy belongs to me, she is a figment of my imagination, any resemblance to anyone real is purely a coincidence.  All other characters are from the Trixie Belden series and are property of Random House.  No money is being made from this story.
